Solana SOL withdrawal fees 12 SOL at Ignition vs 0.00025 SOL network cost why 4800000% markup

Stick with Bitcoin for withdrawals at Ignition. Their BTC fee is 0.0015 which runs about $60-90 depending on price, way more reasonable than 12 SOL at current rates.

Solana's cheap network fees are exactly why I started using it elsewhere, but these casino markups kill the advantage. BetOnline charges 8 SOL last I checked, still high but better than 12.

The markup is insane but remember these aren't just network fees. Casinos maintain hot wallets, cold storage security, compliance monitoring, and customer support for each crypto type.

That said, 12 SOL is still excessive. I'd estimate reasonable overhead adds maybe 100-200% to network costs, not 4.8 million percent. This looks like they want you using other methods.

Check if they have minimum withdrawal amounts too. Some places set the SOL minimum so high that the 12 SOL fee becomes a smaller percentage of your withdrawal.

Also worth comparing to their Ethereum fees - if ETH costs 0.05 and SOL costs 12, that tells you everything about their priorities. They probably process way more Bitcoin and Ethereum volume.

Update: Reached out to Ignition support about the SOL fee structure. They confirmed 12 SOL is correct and mentioned "operational costs and security protocols" but wouldn't break down specifics.

Going to test Wild Casino's 2 SOL fee that vegas_native mentioned. Even at 800% markup over network costs, that's still reasonable compared to 4.8 million percent.
