Solana SOL withdrawal fees 5 SOL at Cafe Casino vs 0.00025 SOL network cost why 20000x markup

Just checked Cafe Casino's withdrawal page and they're charging 5 SOL for Solana withdrawals. Network fees on Solana are typically 0.00025 SOL per transaction.

That's a 20,000x markup over actual network costs. Even accounting for hot wallet management and processing overhead, this seems excessive compared to what I've seen at other crypto platforms.

Anyone else noticed this? Are other brands charging similar rates for SOL withdrawals, or is Cafe Casino an outlier here? Solana's supposed to be the cheap, fast alternative to Ethereum.

Been sticking to Bitcoin for withdrawals exactly because of stuff like this. Wild Casino charges 2 SOL last I checked, which is still ridiculous but half of Cafe's rate.

Solana's network fees are practically free - that's the whole point of the blockchain. These casinos are just pocketing the difference as pure profit.

I've withdrawn SOL from BetWhale recently and they charged 3 SOL. Still way too high but better than Cafe's 5 SOL rate.

The frustrating part is Solana was designed specifically to avoid high fees. When you're withdrawing smaller amounts, these fees can eat up 15-20% of your balance. Makes you wonder if they're trying to discourage SOL withdrawals entirely.

This is why I always check withdrawal fees before depositing. Some casinos have reasonable SOL fees - Lucky Tiger only charges 0.5 SOL which is still high but at least not completely insane.

Cafe Casino's 5 SOL fee makes it one of the most expensive options I've seen. For comparison, centralized exchanges like Binance charge around 0.01 SOL for withdrawals.

The markup is definitely excessive, but I've noticed some casinos adjust their crypto withdrawal fees periodically. Cafe Casino might be using outdated fee structures from when SOL was trading higher.

That said, 5 SOL is still unreasonable even if SOL was at $200+. Have you tried contacting their support to ask about the fee structure? Sometimes they'll provide reasoning or mention if changes are planned.

Thanks for the data points everyone. Sounds like BetWhale at 3 SOL and Lucky Tiger at 0.5 SOL are much more reasonable options.

I'll probably avoid Cafe Casino for SOL withdrawals until they fix their fee structure. At current SOL prices, their 5 SOL fee is around $100-120 which is just ridiculous for a blockchain transaction that costs pennies.
