Ripple XRP withdrawal fees 20 XRP at most casinos vs 0.0001 XRP network cost 200000x markup

Been tracking XRP withdrawal fees across different brands and the markup is absolutely insane. Most casinos charge 20 XRP for withdrawals when the actual network fee is around 0.0001 XRP.

Network reality: XRP transactions cost fractions of a cent and confirm in 3-5 seconds Casino fees: 20 XRP = roughly $12-15 depending on price Markup: 200,000x the actual network cost

I've verified XRP transactions on the ledger - network fees are consistently 0.00001 to 0.0001 XRP. Even accounting for wallet management costs, a 200,000x markup seems excessive compared to other cryptos where markups are typically 10-100x.

Anyone found brands with reasonable XRP withdrawal fees? The speed advantage of XRP gets completely negated by these ridiculous charges.

Stick with Bitcoin for casino withdrawals. Yeah the fees are higher in absolute terms but at least they're somewhat justified by actual network congestion. XRP fees are pure profit grab since the network is basically free to use.

I tested XRP deposits at BetOnline last month - instant confirmation, zero issues. But that 20 XRP withdrawal fee killed any advantage. Ended up converting to BTC and eating the exchange spread just to avoid their markup.

The XRP markup is criminal but unfortunately standard across the industry. I've seen similar patterns with other low-fee networks - casinos basically treat withdrawal fees as a revenue stream rather than cost recovery.

Wild Casino: 20 XRP Cafe Casino: 18 XRP Super Slots: 22 XRP

The only exception I found was Lucky Creek at 5 XRP, still a massive markup but at least more reasonable. Problem is their XRP processing can take 12-24 hours versus the instant network capability.

This is exactly why I calculate total cost of ownership before choosing deposit methods. XRP looks attractive for deposits due to speed and low network fees, but the withdrawal fees completely destroy the economics.

    My calculation for $500 withdrawal:

    • XRP fee: 20 XRP = ~$12
    • BTC fee: 0.0005 BTC = ~$22
    • Network justification: XRP has virtually zero cost, BTC actually costs $3-8 in miners fees

The BTC fee is higher but at least reflects real network costs. XRP fees are just casinos exploiting players who don't understand the underlying economics.

I've been tracking this across 12 different brands and the consistency is suspicious. Almost like they coordinate on XRP pricing.

Most interesting finding: brands that offer competitive BTC fees (like Ignition at 0.0005 BTC) still charge the standard 20 XRP. You'd think competitive pressure would drive XRP fees down, but it hasn't happened.

My theory is most players don't realize how cheap XRP network fees actually are, so casinos can get away with massive markups. Education is key here.

Just checked the XRP ledger explorer after reading this thread. Current network fee is 0.00001 XRP for standard transactions. That's literally $0.000006 at current prices.

So when casinos charge 20 XRP ($12), they're collecting 2 million times the actual cost. Even if we assume operational overhead, wallet management, liquidity costs - there's no justification for more than 1-2 XRP maximum.

This feels like price fixing across the industry. Someone should compile a comprehensive fee comparison and call them out publicly.
