Polygon MATIC withdrawal fees 100 MATIC at Shazam vs 0.01 MATIC network cost why 999900% markup

Been tracking withdrawal fees across different networks and Shazam Casino charges 100 MATIC for Polygon withdrawals. Current network fee for MATIC transfers is around 0.01 MATIC according to PolygonScan.

That's a 999,900% markup over actual network costs. Even accounting for processing overhead, this seems excessive compared to their ETH fees which run about 300% over network cost.

Anyone else notice this pattern with MATIC specifically? Other casinos charging similar rates or is Shazam an outlier here? My last withdrawal was $180 in fees for a $400 MATIC cashout.

Shazam hits hard on alt-coin fees across the board. Their MATIC fee structure is brutal but so are most of their non-BTC options. I stick to Bitcoin withdrawals there - still marked up but nowhere near that level.

Checked BetWhale recently and they charge 50 MATIC for withdrawals, which is still a 499,900% markup but half of Shazam's rate. Wild Casino runs about 75 MATIC last I checked.

The MATIC markup is insane but unfortunately standard practice. Most crypto casinos treat alt-coin withdrawal fees as profit centers rather than cost recovery.

Ignition charges 25 MATIC which works out to around $15-20 depending on price. Still a massive markup but more reasonable than Shazam's approach. I've started converting MATIC to BTC before withdrawing when possible.

This is exactly why I avoid smaller cap cryptos at online casinos. The fee structures are predatory on anything outside BTC/ETH/LTC.

Shazam's business model seems built around these withdrawal fees. Their slot RTPs are competitive but they recoup margins through crypto processing charges. Better to deposit in MATIC for speed but withdraw in Bitcoin if you're playing there long-term.

Had the same shock with MATIC fees at Shazam last month. The 100 MATIC charge ate into my bonus winnings significantly.

Switched to Cafe Casino for Polygon deposits and they charge 40 MATIC for withdrawals. Still a huge markup but more manageable. Their customer service explained they batch MATIC transactions to reduce network load, though I'm not sure that justifies the fee structure.

Appreciate the responses. Seems like Ignition at 25 MATIC is the most reasonable option for Polygon withdrawals, even though it's still a 249,900% markup.

The batching explanation from Cafe Casino makes some sense for operational costs, but these fee levels suggest casinos are treating crypto withdrawals as revenue streams rather than customer services. Might be time to vote with our wallets and stick to lower-fee options.
