Ethereum gas fees 0.003 ETH network cost vs 0.25 ETH casino withdrawal fees 8000% markup explained
Been tracking Ethereum withdrawal fees across multiple casinos and the markup is insane. Current network gas for a standard ETH transfer is around 0.003 ETH (about $7.50 at current prices), but most casinos are charging 0.25 ETH ($625) for withdrawals.
That's an 8,233% markup over actual network costs.
Ignition charges 0.25 ETH, Wild Casino charges 0.2 ETH, Cafe Casino is 0.3 ETH. Even accounting for their operational costs and batching processes, this seems excessive compared to dedicated crypto exchanges that charge 0.005-0.01 ETH.
Anyone have insight into why the fees are this inflated? Is it just profit padding or are there legitimate backend costs I'm missing?
