Chainlink LINK withdrawal fees 50 LINK at Lucky Creek vs 0.003 LINK network cost why 1666600% markup

Just tried to withdraw 200 LINK from Lucky Creek and they're charging 50 LINK as a withdrawal fee. That's $1,100 at current prices.

Checked the Ethereum network and LINK transfers cost about 0.003 LINK (roughly $0.07) in gas fees right now. Even during high congestion, I've never seen it go above 0.01 LINK.

50 ÷ 0.003 = 16,666x markup

This feels excessive even by crypto casino standards. Are other casinos charging similar LINK fees? I've been using BTC exclusively but wanted to diversify my withdrawal methods.

That's insane. I stick to Bitcoin for exactly this reason - most casinos charge 0.0005-0.001 BTC which is still a markup but not 16,000x.

Tried LINK withdrawals at Super Slots last month and they wanted 35 LINK. Cancelled immediately and went back to BTC. These altcoin fees are pure profit grabs.

Wild Casino charges 25 LINK for withdrawals, which is still ridiculous but half of Lucky Creek's fee.

The problem is these smaller tokens don't have enough volume to justify the casino's internal processing costs. They batch Bitcoin withdrawals efficiently but probably process LINK manually.

Still doesn't excuse a 1,600,000% markup though. That's borderline theft.

Check if they offer Polygon MATIC withdrawals instead. LINK runs on multiple chains now and Polygon fees are fraction of Ethereum.

Some casinos support LINK on Polygon with much lower fees. Worth asking support before paying that ridiculous 50 LINK charge.

Worst case, convert to Bitcoin or Litecoin inside the casino if they allow it.

I avoid altcoin withdrawals entirely after getting burned by similar fees. These casinos know most players don't check network costs before withdrawing.

BetOnline has reasonable Bitcoin fees and processes fast. Ignition too. Sometimes it's worth taking the extra step to convert rather than paying these inflated altcoin fees.

Always check actual network costs before hitting withdraw on any non-Bitcoin crypto.

Thanks everyone. Checked and Lucky Creek doesn't support Polygon LINK unfortunately.

Going to convert to Bitcoin and withdraw that way. Even with their BTC fee it's still 90% cheaper than the LINK option.

Wild Casino's 25 LINK fee is noted for future reference. Still outrageous but better than 50.
