Bitcoin mempool congestion causing 3 day deposit delays at Wild Casino during weekend peak

Sent 0.05 BTC to Wild Casino Friday night with 15 sat/vB fee rate thinking it would confirm by Saturday morning. Still sitting unconfirmed 72 hours later because the mempool exploded to 80+ sat/vB over the weekend.

Checked mempool.space and there's 150MB of higher-fee transactions ahead of mine. Wild Casino requires 3 confirmations so even when it does confirm, I'm looking at another 30 minutes minimum.

Anyone else getting burned by this? Should have paid the extra $8 for priority fees but hindsight is 20/20. Network congestion always seems to hit during prime gambling hours when you actually want to play.

Been there multiple times. I always check mempool status before sending now - if it's above 30 sat/vB I either wait or pay the premium. Wild Casino's 3-confirmation requirement doesn't help when blocks are slow.

Try using a fee bumping wallet next time. Electrum lets you bump the fee with RBF (Replace-By-Fee) if your transaction supports it. Saved me twice when I lowballed the fee rate.

This exact scenario pushed me toward Litecoin for casino deposits. LTC confirms in 2.5 minutes average and Wild Casino only needs 6 confirmations which still beats a stuck Bitcoin transaction.

The mempool clears eventually but weekend congestion is brutal. Friday through Sunday seems to be when everyone's moving crypto around.

Wild Casino actually shows pending Bitcoin deposits in your account balance once they see the transaction on the network, even before confirmations. You can't withdraw but you can start playing with the funds.

Check your deposit history - might already be credited as "pending" while waiting for those 3 confirmations. Better than sitting there with zero balance for days.

Mempool congestion always spikes during weekends and major market moves. I switched to using Bitcoin Lightning deposits at casinos that support it - instant confirmation and tiny fees.

Wild Casino doesn't support Lightning yet but Voltage does. Worth considering if you're tired of playing the fee estimation game with regular Bitcoin transactions.

Update: Transaction finally confirmed this morning after 84 hours. Mike was right - Wild Casino had already credited my account as "pending" so I could play while waiting.

Still frustrating but at least they don't make you wait for full confirmation to start gambling. Definitely using higher fee rates during weekends going forward.
