Bitcoin mempool congestion 45 sat/vB fees but casino withdrawal still charged 0.0015 BTC flat rate
Checking mempool.space right now and priority transactions are clearing at 45 sat/vB. That's roughly $12 for a standard transaction. Yet every casino I've used recently still charges their flat 0.0015 BTC withdrawal fee, which is $90+ at current prices.
I get that casinos batch transactions and need profit margins, but this seems excessive during low congestion periods. Wild Casino and Ignition both hit me with the full 0.0015 BTC fee yesterday when network fees were even lower at 30 sat/vB.
Are any US-facing casinos adjusting withdrawal fees based on actual network conditions? Or do they all stick to flat rates regardless of mempool status?
