Avalanche AVAX withdrawal fees 5 AVAX at Cafe Casino vs 0.001 AVAX network cost

Just checked Cafe Casino's withdrawal page and they're charging 5 AVAX for withdrawals. The actual Avalanche C-Chain network fee is around 0.001 AVAX right now.

That's a 500,000% markup over the real cost. I've been tracking crypto withdrawal fees across platforms since 2018, and this is one of the highest markups I've seen for AVAX specifically.

Anyone else noticed this? For comparison, when I withdraw 50 AVAX, I'm paying 10% just in casino fees before any network costs. Makes smaller withdrawals completely uneconomical.

That's brutal. I stick to BTC for this exact reason - at least the fees are somewhat predictable even if they're high.

Checked BetOnline yesterday and their AVAX fee was 3 AVAX, which is still insane but better than Cafe's 5 AVAX. Wild Casino was charging 4 AVAX last month.

Honestly thinking about just converting everything to BTC before withdrawal. Even with the conversion spread, might come out ahead.

The fee structure makes zero sense. AVAX was designed to be fast and cheap - that's literally the point of the network.

I contacted Cafe Casino support about this last week. They said the fee covers "processing and security costs" but couldn't explain why AVAX costs more to process than other cryptos with similar network architecture.

Might be time to switch to a different platform for AVAX transactions.

This is why I always factor withdrawal fees into my bankroll calculations. A 5 AVAX fee means you need to win significantly more just to break even.

For anyone playing smaller stakes, this basically kills the profitability of using AVAX at Cafe Casino. You'd need to withdraw at least 100+ AVAX to keep the fee under 5% of your withdrawal.

Been seeing similar issues with other altcoins across multiple platforms. The markup compared to actual network costs is getting ridiculous.

Just checked my withdrawal history and I paid 5 AVAX on a 25 AVAX withdrawal last month. That's a 20% fee!

Compared this to Ignition Casino where I withdraw BTC regularly - their BTC fee works out to around 2-3% of my typical withdrawal amount. The AVAX situation at Cafe Casino is completely out of line.

Considering switching to ETH or sticking with BTC for future deposits there.

Update: Reached out to Cafe Casino through their live chat. Support confirmed the 5 AVAX fee is current and said there are "no plans to adjust it in the near future."

They mentioned the fee covers operational costs beyond just network fees, but wouldn't provide specifics. Given AVAX's low network costs and fast settlement times, this feels like pure profit padding.

For now, I'm avoiding AVAX deposits at Cafe Casino until they adjust their fee structure to something more reasonable.
