Avalanche AVAX withdrawal fees 25 AVAX at BetWhale vs 0.001 AVAX network cost why 25000x markup

Question

Just tried withdrawing 100 AVAX from BetWhale and they're charging 25 AVAX as a withdrawal fee. That's $750 at current prices for a transaction that costs literally $0.03 on the Avalanche network.

Checked the official Avalanche explorer - standard C-Chain transfers are 0.001 AVAX. Even priority transactions during peak congestion never exceed 0.01 AVAX.

**25,000x markup on network fees is absolutely insane.** I've withdrawn AVAX from Binance for 0.01 AVAX and from Coinbase Pro for 0.005 AVAX. How is BetWhale justifying this?

**Pro tip:** Convert your AVAX to Bitcoin or Litecoin before withdrawing. Yeah, you'll eat some trading fees, but it's still way cheaper than paying these inflated AVAX withdrawal costs.

I learned this lesson with MATIC withdrawals. Polygon network fees are basically free, but casinos charge 50-100 MATIC. Converting to BTC saved me like $200 on a $2000 withdrawal.

That's highway robbery. I stick to Bitcoin withdrawals for exactly this reason - most casinos charge 0.0005-0.001 BTC which is roughly 2-3x the actual network fee, not 25,000x.

Avalanche was supposed to be the cheap alternative to Ethereum. If casinos are going to charge these ridiculous fees, what's the point of using AVAX at all?

**Update:** Contacted BetWhale support and they said AVAX withdrawal fees are "reviewed quarterly based on network conditions."

I pointed out that Avalanche fees have been stable around 0.001 AVAX for over a year. Their response was basically "our fees cover operational costs beyond just network fees."

Switching to Bitcoin withdrawals going forward. At least the markup there is somewhat reasonable.
